My Pick Listt

Using My Pick List

My Pick List is a handy way to keep track of catalogue records you want to come back to later. You can use it to:

  • Email details of selected records to yourself or someone else.
  • Download record details to your device.
  • Place reservations on selected records, or on all records in your list when there are 30 records or fewer.

You can use My Pick List without logging in. If you are not logged in, your list is temporary and will only be kept for a short time. To keep your pick list for future visits, log in to your account first.

Accessing My Pick List

To open your pick list, select the icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. This shows your current list and the number of records you have added.

If you are logged in, you can create more than one pick list and choose which one you want to use. To view and manage your pick lists:

  • Log in to My Account
  • In the Dashboard menu, select My Picks.
  • Select Manage My Picks. From here, you can:
    • Select New Pick List to create a new pick list.
      • Give the list a name and a brief description.
    • Select View All Pick Lists to see all available pick lists.
  • From the User Menu at the top of the page, select the pick list you want to use as the active list.

Adding Records to a Pick List

To add records to your pick list, search the catalogue for the items you are interested in. If your search finds more than one record, the results will appear in brief view. You can then add records in any of the following ways:

  • Select the bookmark icon to quickly add one title to your active pick list.
  • Select the checkbox beside each title you want, then choose Save Selections from the Options menu.
  • Choose Save All from the Options menu to add every record in the current search results to your active pick list.

If you are logged in, check that the correct pick list is selected before adding records.

Removing Records from a Pick List

To remove records from pick list:

  • Log in to My Account and open the Dashboard.
  • Select View All Pick Lists.
  • Select the pick list that contains the records you want to remove.

After you open the list, you can remove records in any of the following ways

  • Select the bookmark icon beside a title to remove it from the list.
  • Select the checkbox beside each title you want to remove, then choose Remove Selections from the Options menu.
  • Choose Remove All from the Options menu to remove every record from the current pick list.

If you create a pick list without logging in it will be kept for a short period of time. After that, the list will be cleared automatically.

Using a Pick List

Once you have added records to your pick list, you can browse, sort, refine, email, or download them.

Browse Records

You can browse your pick list in the same way as other catalogue search results. The list opens in brief view. Select a title to see the full record.

Sort Records

Use Sort By at the top of the results to arrange records before emailing or downloading them.

Refine Results

Use Refine Results to narrow the records shown in your list. This can help you find the records you want to email or download.

To refine your pick list:

  • Open your pick list.
  • From the Options menu, select Refine Results.
  • Enter your search criteria and select Search. The remaining records will be displayed.

Refining results does not delete records from your pick list. To return to the full list, use the navigation breadcrumb or open your pick list again.
